Philly Music Caves profiles me in the latest feature, which takes you behind the scenes where Philadelphia musicians create their music. Check out my favorite places in the city, where i go to get inspired, plus some great photos by Carolyn Lederach’s Hazy Colours Photography.
As i was performing at the American Folk Art Museum in NYC, i noticed a man in the front row with a giant pad on his lap, sketching. After the show, he came up to me and revealed his finished artwork. “I tried to swing with your music as I was rendering you.” Music in Motion. Thank you, Benedict Pensato!
Thank You!!! to all you wonderful people who came to join us (and special guest fiddler Hurricane Hoss) under the big tent at the 55th Philadelphia Folk Festival, the longest continuously running musical festival in North America.
We chased away the storm and brought on the Sky Blue Sky.
It was an absolute honor to join the ranks of musicians & storytellers, including so many iconic songwriters, who have performed at the Folk Fest.
