Wow. Our Show De Bola in NYC was a huge success! Thank you for coming out to Joe’s Pub and being a part of something truly special. You’ll have one more chance to check out my collaboration with the amazingly wonderful Denise Reis this Wednesday in Philadelphia. My tour dates for the season are almost done. The number of shows may be winding down, but the band isn’t! We’re going out in grand style this week with some fantastic shows in Philly, DC and Baltimore. Or maybe you’ll just see me on TV.
NBC’s The 10! Show
Channel 10 NBC Philadelphia and it’s morning talk show have been great supporters of my music since my album came out, and I’m thrilled to be performing live with Denise Reis in advance of our show at World Cafe Live. Live in the Philly area and want to be in the studio audience Tuesday morning? Email audience coordinator colin.mcandrew @ nbcuni.com. (The show tapes starting at 10am.) Don’t live in the Philly area or don’t like waking up before 2pm? I will be posting the episode soon after it airs.

Take 5! at the Smithsonian Museum
The band returns to our nation’s capital for a night at the museum. We have been honored with an invitation to perform at the prestigious Smithsonian American Art Museum. I’m guessing they have never had any TLC performed there, so we will gladly do the honors. The event is free and open to the public, so there is really no reason for you not to be there.

An Die Musik Finale in Baltimore
The Spring Tour Grand Finale belongs to Baltimore. I’ve come to know and love Charm City recently. (Did you know that’s what people call Baltimore? True story.) Bawlmer is also known for some quirky performance art spaces, and I’m excited that our last show of the tour will be held in this awesomely quirky theater above a record store. We’ll be doing a substantial program in this lovely venue – check it.

Summer’s just around the corner! And that means music festivals and outdoor concerts and Mr. Softee ice cream. Smiley face.
OutMusic Awards
The OutMusic Awards recognizes achievements by LGBT recording artists and this year, I have been nominated for 3 awards! The nominations, announced in LA last December, are for Outstanding Pop Song (New Year), Outstanding Jazz Song(The Back of Your Hand), and Outstanding Video of the Year (Rabbit Hole). The awards were postponed from last year due to an unfortunate situation with one of the major sponsors – but they are BACK ON for May, to be held at Irving Plaza in NYC on May 23. If you are interested in the event, you can purchase tickets at www.outmusicawards.com.
The No Brainer 2011
Speaking of things that are BACK ON, The No Brainer Benefit Concert is coming back this year to Philadelphia. My family and I are excited to be once again organizing this great event that we started a few years back to raise funds and awareness for the National Brain Tumor Society. This year, we are even featuring a 2 hour open bar & food buffet in addition to some great live music!!! Mark down the date: Sunday, June 5 at 2pm, and stay tuned for more details.
More Spring Dates
I’ve got even MORE great events coming up all along the East Coast this month. Here are some of the major tour stops you should attend:

Well, I’m about spent, and I need to go make sure my allergies are under control by the time I get on the Joe’s Pub stage tomorrow. ‘Tis the season… See you soon!
It may still be Passover, but I just celebrated Easter on a peach farm in Georgia. I pretended I was Moses parting the Sea of Corn, from a tractor. Enjoy that visual. (Visit the AW Facebook Page for the actual visual.) I’m on tour right now with the lovely and talented JENNINGS. We’ve already made stops in Towson, MD and Raleigh, NC. This is my first time in the deep South, and Jennings promises that amazing fried chicken is right around the corner. (I’m seriously holding her to that.) In the meantime, we are getting ready for some killer shows on the rest of this tour. See the full schedule below – and definitely help spread the word and come join us in the following cities:
Gainesville, GA
Nashville, TN
Washington, DC
Baltimore, MD
