Me and my talented Philly songwriters in arms – Aaron Nathans and Meghan Cary – are joining forces in 2023 to bring you a fabulous monthly concert series: PHILLY SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND, coming to the Philadelphia Folksong Society every First Thursday.
Me and my cohosts are going to bring you something exciting and new every month. Get your tickets now for the kick-off concert event on Feb 2, and stay tuned for all the incredible songwriter line ups coming soon.
“Come experience a unique showcase of incredible songs, storytelling, collaboration and community. This concert series brings you 4 talented artists curated by Aaron Nathans, Avi Wisnia, and Meghan Cary. Each month, a different line up of stand out artists share the stage, taking turns performing an eclectic variety of original songs, sharing the stories behind those songs, and speaking to the unique perspective that comes with having strong connections to the Philadelphia music scene. February’s kick-off concert features: Sug Daniels, Aaron Parnell Brown, Phyllis Chapell, joined by your host Avi Wisnia.”

It’s a gift to see yourself through someone else’s eyes. Check out these glorious fan portraits I’ve gotten over the years, from all different artists, ages ranging from 7 – 67. I love them all, so much.

This Is 40
This is 40.
I’m excited to enter into my F years doing what I love to do, which is make music and bring that music to you. And I intend to keep doing that for as long as you’ll let me (talking to you, my audience… and also to my fingers).
Happy Birthday to me, and Happy My Birthday to you!
(thanks to sweet Rachel Olivia for the birthday portrait,
taken at the estate of composer Oscar Hammerstein II)
