Just Another Daydream
I’m caught up in the moment
it’s happened once before
i’m held there for a moment, never more
we stroll along together
skipping seashells all along the shore
each moment more momentous than before
you’re picking all the flowers
i say, whatever for
and that old smile turns to face me
flinging daisies overhead… (why bother)
i’m caught up in the moment
it’s happened once before
i hold you for a moment, never more
you never seem to notice
just what i’m waiting for,
for that lone day when you come calling
singing, baby, take my hand… (oh bother)
i’m caught up in a daydream
i’ve dreamed it all before
(but) i’m frozen in the moment, just staring at the floor
i wish that i could tell you what my heart has in store
i’ll need another daydream, what’s one more
(just another daydream)
