There was nothing my brother valued quite as much as good friends & good music. They helped him live life to the fullest despite having a brain tumor. Just a few short months ago, my brother passed away. This will be the first No Brainer benefit concert where my brother will not be making music on that stage. As I am finding with so many things every day, we have to keep finding ways to mark his absence and also move forward, at the same time. It is with this sentiment that my family is going forward with another event: a means of gathering together, of supporting community, of raising awareness, of celebrating life. We invite you to join us as we honor the huge spirit of Dov Benjamin Wisnia, with good friends and good music.
Old Man Wisnia is finally catching up to the year 2011 (i’m little behind. this is true.), and I’m now Instagramming all over the place. Follow my photo stream and watch me put exciting borders on all sorts of previously-unbordered pictures. Like this one above: taken while hanging out pre-show at Sabrina’s in Philadelphia with our illustrious guitar player, now commonly known as Toru, The Salad Wizard.
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month (#BTAM). Spread the word & learn the easy ways to get involved at www.braintumor.org/BTAM and come to The No Brainer Benefit Concert in Philadelphia on June 9! Tix coming soon…
I don’t know if highways get you excited, but I’m pretty pumped to hit I-95 in a major way starting tomorrow. Check out these great East Coast tour dates, and come see me this week! Or tell your northeast & midatlantic brethren that we should hang out.
