#SkyBlueSky Recording in Brazil

Go inside Bruno Migliari’s 8VB Studios in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
as we assemble a talented band of renown Brazilian musicians
to record parts for my new bossa-influenced single Sky Blue Sky.

Meet Bernardo Bosisio!

Starting in Brazil, and continuing in Berklee College of Music in Boston, Bernardo has worked with some of the biggest names in Rio’s jazz and pop scenes: Nico Assumpção, Leila Pinheiro, Simone, Paulinho Moska. He is currently a member of popular Brazilian groups Pagode Jazz Sardinhas Club (TIM award winner) and the band PARAPHERNALIA BRASIL.

Here he is recording guitar and cavaquinho for Sky Blue Sky.

Meet Marco Lobo!

Born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, now based in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Lobo has performed with the biggest names in Brazilian music like Marisa Monte, Gilberto Gil, & Caetano Veloso. He regularly tours Europe, Asia, USA and South America, with 3 CDs under his own name. “The musicality of Marco Lobo is very special and unique in every way.”

Check out this crazy awesome video‬ of Marco performing on pretty much every type of percussion in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Meet Bruno Migliari!

Migliari is a bassist, composer and arranger active on the Jazz, World Music and Pop/Rock scenes in Rio. He has toured internationally with artists such as Milton Nascimento, Maria Gadú, Marcos Valle, and is currently a band member for popular Brazilian performers Frejat and Simone. He also leads his own Bruno Migliari Trio. Bruno has written music for short films, acted as musical director on the TV show “Claro Q É Rock”, and was the bassist for The Voice Brasil during the show’s first season on 2012.

Because cats are helpful.

The Brazilian side is done! Here is bassist/producer Bruno Migliari, and assistant producer Ornella, working on the first mixes of my new song Sky Blue Sky at Bruno’s 8VB Studio in Rio de Janeiro.
